It can be a humbling feeling to hear what people have said about your work. I think that Artists as a whole tend to see the flaws in their work. We look at it differently than our customers do.
To hear words like amazing, fantastic, beautiful, and of course “I love it” does so much for us. It can be a difficult thing to ask someone to write a review of their experience so most of us don’t ask, which makes those kind words so much more special.
Walking into a customer’s home, and seeing three or four of your portraits in their wall is amazing. To walk in and see twenty portraits on their wall – WOW, that’s incredible.
